    Welcome to St. Lawrence School!

St. Lawrence School (SLS) is a distinguished British Columbia (BC) Ministry of Education approved Independent School. SLS proudly enrolls its students within the BC education system and is compliant with the Independent Schools Act of BC, thus ensuring approved curriculum delivery and financial security of tuition fees paid by families.

We are pleased to offer SLS students the same breadth of educational opportunities as their Canadian peers. Our educational approach is grounded in excellence. First-class educators foster nurturing learning environments, focusing on the holistic development of each student. This includes not only academic proficiency, but also linguistic, creative, and critical thinking skills. Our curriculum is rich and diverse, encompassing arts, athletics, technology, character development, community service, and social responsibility.

Our school's achievements and student progress are regularly submitted to the Ministry of Education, which in turn provides our graduates with official transcripts and BC’s Dogwood Diploma. SLS graduates embark on their future academic and professional paths with a robust foundation, well-prepared and equipped for the challenges of prestigious Canadian and international post-secondary institutions, along with being insightful and contributing global citizens.

Literary Studies 10 - Mr. Helgason

Literary Studies 10  is designed to empower students by providing them with strong communication skills, an understanding and appreciation of language and literature, and the capacity to engage fully as literate and responsible citizens in a digital age. Students are guided in their learning to think critically, creatively, and reflectively; to construct a sense of personal and cultural identity; and to be respectful of a range of perspectives and worldviews.
